A 25-year-old has been charged after allegedly failing to pause at a stop sign while driving well over the legal blood alcohol limit and on a suspended P-plate licence.
Mandurah Police Sergeant Matt Fitzgerald alleged the Eglinton man drove through a stop sign on Lanyon Street in Mandurah, at 3.25pm on January 12.
Sergeant Fitzgerald said the man initially blew .128 grams per 100 ml of blood, but was charged at .120 grams from a later breath test recorded at the station.
The man is due to appear in the Mandurah Magistrates Court at a later date.
On December 28, a young female P-Plate driver was fined $300 and lost three demerit points for failing to pause at a stop sign at the Aldgate and France Street intersection.
The woman's silver Opel Insignia had caused significant damage to a Ford sedan when it hit the left-hand side.
Two girls and a man were in the Ford at the time and sustained minor injuries.
