Six Mandurah artists will head to Margaret River to learn from master screen-printer Caroline Juniper thanks to a local funding grant.
Print-maker and artist Jo Wood received the City of Mandurah Creative Mandurah Grant from the 2018/2019 program.
The grant will enable Wood and five other artists from the Peel region to attend a three-day professional development screen-printing workshop.
Lyn Nixon, Patricia Hines, Karen Morgan, Llynette Neil and Qing Zhu will also take part on the trip.

Wood said she was inspired to apply for the grant after meeting the Margaret River artist at a pop up studio event down south in 2018.
The pair discussed the possibility working and studying together as Juniper’s screen-printing method was new and exciting.
Upon returning to Mandurah, several other artists expressed their interest in studying the technique with Juniper prompting Wood to write her Grant application for a group of local participants.
The group will spend three days working in Margaret River from January 16-18, each designing and printing a multi-coloured set of limited edition screen-prints on paper.
They will then host an exhibition and further local workshops and demonstrations about the new method of work they develop.
