Mandurah detectives have launched a search for a potentially armed man after a gunshot incident in Pinjarra this morning.
A WA Police spokesman confirmed the authorities received a call from a member of the public about 6am and officers attended the scene.
It is believed gunshots were fired at a house on Hampton Road and 51-year-old Michael Wayne Yates can assist police with their inquiries.
He is described as approximately 180cm tall, with a medium build, short blonde hair, goatee beard and light skinned.
Mr Yates is believed to be driving a white 2005 Ford Territory Station Sedan, registration 1GLO438.
Anyone who sees Mr Yates or the vehicle is advised not to approach him as police believe he may be armed.
Detective Constable Gabriella Starbuck said no one had been injured during the incident but it was a “targeted attack”.
She urged Mr Yates to contact police.
