The Peel region’s business community came together to celebrate the end of the year and the start of the festive season on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The Peel Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s monthly Business After Hours event and Shire of Murray 2018 Business Sundowner were a hit this week, with crowds flocking to network and socialise, while listening to industry updates from across the region.
The December Business After Hours evening was held at Pinjarra’s unique cafe, Jara Infusion.
With a large outdoor dining precinct overlooking the river, the cafe was an ideal spot to host businesses from around the region.
Jara Infusion owner and manager Nic Willis thanked the more than 100 guests for their interest in the small business and for attending the event.
She also gave a brief update on the cafe’s work and other Peel-based businesses who had contributed to her success.
Guests were kept entertained at the event by local musicians, including Brooke Bugeja, Just Gorgeous n the Dirty Hippies, Craig Greville and Fearless Women's Circle.
Peel artists Hey Jude Handmade, Indigo Weave Macrame, Earthbound Art and Art by Vanessa were also on-site creating and displaying their hand-made wares.
To capture the memorable moments of the evening, Adept Photo Booths were on hand with a pop-up photo booth.
Peel Chamber general manager Andrew McKerrell said also spoke on the evening and discussed the current status of business in the region.
