Halls Head Primary School library officer Amanda Bishop has won an award for her dedication to the school library and involvement in its many endeavours.
Library officer awards are given to long-serving staff members who show leadership within the role of library officer at Halls Head Primary School.
In her role, Amanda offers support across a number of other areas such as information technology, computing and general administration work as well.
Her nomination is based on her outstanding inspiration, creativity, and the work ethic she brings to her library role, which is evident in our school library and the displays she coordinates for various themes.
Amanda’s library is welcoming and motivating, contemporary, student focused and highly organised, and she ensures regular auditing of and purchasing of high interest resources for students.
A feature of the library is the emphasis on motivating and engaging students to read in a highly contextual place promoting a range of reading interests.

Her creativity with our school library displays and the library in general is outstanding and often is a feature in our school which is shared with others.
Amanda is well known in our school district, and had provided upskilling to other library officers around the area.
She has also been instrumental in creating a library support network for others to access professional learning, support and inspiration.
She has coordinated and delivered professional learning for others using our school facilities, and has also shared her knowledge, ideas and work as an inspiration for others to learn from.
Amanda has an amazing work ethic, is well organised, and is always willing and ready to offer help to others if needed.
This includes both other non-teaching and teaching staff.
She has always gone above and beyond to ensure the best for our school and it’s students.
Amanda has been strongly endorsed as a highly deserving nominee worthy of recognition for her long standing service to students, staff and parents as library officer at Halls Head Primary School.
