A motorcyclist has been fined $1800 and had his licence suspended in the Mandurah Magistrates Court after being clocked travelling 73 kilometres per hour over the speed limit near Bridgetown.
Neil Adrian Barnes, 50, pleaded guilty on Tuesday to travelling on a Kawasaki motorbike at a speed of 163 km/h in a 90 km/h zone on September 9, 2018.
Lawyer Russell Mark told the court the Morley man had been driving on a rural road in Maranup, 20 kilometres west of Bridgetown.

Mr Mark said there were no other vehicles on the road at the time and Barnes had not realised he was speeding.
Barnes was fined $1800, $205.30 costs and had his driver’s licence suspended for six months.
