Major Crash officers are investigating a crash that claimed the life of a 44-year-old Mandurah man in Nambeelup in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The man was driving a Nissan X Trail north along the Kwinana Freeway at 12.08am (approximately 3km north of Pinjarra Road) when he lost control of the vehicle.
The X Trail rolled into the median strip, causing the driver to be ejected from the vehicle, landing in the southbound lanes.
He was then struck by a Mitsubishi Pajero travelling south.
St John Ambulance attended the scene but the man, a 44 year old from Mandurah, died from the injuries he received.
Police would like to speak to anyone that witnessed the crash, or saw the X Trail travelling prior to the crash.
