Mandurah Detectives have charged two women after a series of retail thefts in the Mandurah area between October 19 and November 8, 2018.
A 32-year-old Port Kennedy woman was charged with five counts of stealing and one count of common assault.
She was also charged with two counts of gains benefit by fraud and one count of possession of stolen or unlawfully obtained property.
A second 28-year-old Port Kennedy woman was charged with five counts of stealing.
Police say the women removed a “large amount of goods from retail premises shelves” and quickly left the stores.
It is alleged, on one occasion, one of the women removed the property while the second woman waited in a vehicle with the engine running to “make their escape”.
It is further alleged the estimated total amount of the goods was valued at over $6,000.
Both women are due to appear in the Perth Magistrates Court on Friday, November 9.
