Peel Health Campus applauded their long-serving staff on Tuesday, with 151 employees congratulated for reaching either the 10 or 15-year mark working at the hospital.
The Mandurah-based health facility put on a Melbourne Cup lunch for their nurses, doctor and support services workers, who were also awarded with a certificate for reaching the considerable milestones.
PHC chief executive Dr Margaret Sturdy said it was impressive that one third of the workforce had been at the hospital for more than 10 years.
“That is an outstanding effort and I thank all award recipients for their hard work and dedication,” she said.
“Most of our staff are members of our community and they take great pride in what they do.
“We have a broad range of staff in our hospital and they all have very important roles. All staff make an invaluable contribution and they are extremely passionate about their jobs.”
