Mandurah will be officially launched into the sunny months with party vibes and live music from Perth DJ Tina Says at Day Break Club’s summer launch party at Bar Therapy on Saturday, December 1.
The up-and-coming star will be supported by a contingent of talent, and will turn it on for the crowd blasting out the tunes that have helped her make a name as one of Perth’s most promising DJ acts.
Tina Says has played to audiences of thousands supporting the likes of Dillon Francis, Alison Wonderland, Nina Las Vegas, What So Not and Peking Duk, cementing her position in the Australian performance circuit.
She will now look to bring her industrial, house and techno jams to Mandurah for the launch party in what Day Break Club organisers Ben and Jack McDonald hope to be the first of many live music events they can welcome to town over the coming months.
The 19-year-old twin brothers are aspiring to ignite a fresh live music scene in the city.
“Bringing some more live music into Mandurah is something we’re really passionate about,” Ben said.
“We felt the city was kind of lacking those real summer vibe parties where people can just come and enjoy the sunset and some live tunes so we’re really excited to be putting this on.
“We’re hoping this first one goes well – if it does we can start building on some of the other ideas we have in the works and really deliver a fun summer for young people in Mandurah.”
McDonald said the events would look to take advantage of the city’s pristine scenery, while bringing quality live acts to town.
“We’ve got so many beautiful spots in town that for us, it’s a shame some of them can go to waste,” he said.
“Bar Therapy on the foreshore there is going to be a great setting for the first event.”
The launch party has garnered the support of Gage Roads Brewing Co, with cheap drinks and food deals on the menu.
Music will play from 4pm-10pm on the night, with tickets available via events.ticketbooth.com.au
