Authorities have received reports that a 3.2 metre great white shark was sighted jumping out of the water near surfers along Avalon Beach.
On Tuesday, Surf Life Saving Western Australia issued a warning to people in the area after the creature was spotted 100 metres offshore about 10.26am.

Avalon Beach is a popular surf break south of the city centre, along Mandurah’s coastline.
Waves break at a reef located 200 metres offshore.
If you spot a shark, report the incident to Water Police on 9442 8600.
