A Lakelands news agency has made one lucky customer $441,295 richer after they sold the nation’s 43rd Division One winning ticket of 2018 for Saturday’s lotto draw.
The golden ticket was purchased at Lakers News, making it the city’s fourth Division One winning ticket sold this year for a total of almost $4 million in prize returns.
Lakers News store manager Carlos Martins said since opening the store just over a year ago, they’ve been anxiously waiting for this moment.
“We now have bragging rights to selling a Division One,” he said.
“The hot hand of luck is with us just before the $60 million Powerball jackpot – it’s very exciting.”
WA’s Division One winning Saturday Lotto ticket is among nine nation-wide to share in the almost $4 million.
Over 68,800 other WA players picked up a prize in the weekend’s Saturday Lotto draw, including five Division Two winners who each collected $9,134.
Thanks to those that play Lotterywest games, the City of Mandurah received a Lotterywest grant of $377,000 to renovate and build an outdoor play area at the recently opened Family and Community Centre.
The Centre will house up to seven not-for-profit organisations providing family services to the Mandurah community.
The next chance to win big is this Thursday’s $60 million Powerball jackpot, the third largest the game has offered this year following $80 million and $100 million jackpots earlier this year.
Tickets are available until 6pm Thursday from Lotterywest in-store, online or through the app.
