Diversity South have named a number of deserving award recipients at their annual general meeting.
Members of the organisation’s board, volunteers, staff, dignitaries and families gathered at the Mandurah Surf Life Saving Club on Tuesday morning to recognise the winners.
Diversity South patron and Mandurah MP David Templeman presented the awards to several team members for their commitment.
The 2018 Support Worker of the Year was awarded to Edward Cooper for his hard work and dedication.
The audience sang happy birthday to the winner who celebrated his 21st birthday last week.
Diversity South also celebrated the efforts and achievements of the 2018 Individual of the Year, Michael Leslie.

Service certificates were awarded to a number of support workers for their years of commitment to people with disabilities.
Mr Templeman also thanked the organisation for their outstanding community service.
“The essential element of a city will always be the human factor. We need that human connection as part of our enduring life,” he said.
“When you look at the 25 plus years of Diversity South, you have been an integral part of the place that many of us call home.
“You are an integral part of making sure that people of all abilities participate, are engaged, valued and are part of our growing community.”
