What matters to you - matters to Mandurah.
It is a catch phrase which has been splashed across the city in the past few weeks.
But what does it mean? And how much is it costing the ratepayer?
The local governments new Mandurah Matters campaign, aimed at reshaping the citys image, has been tipped to cost $171,150.
Among the list of costs for the project sits information sessions, community workshops, a summit event and various activations.
According to Mandurah mayor Rhys Williams the city-wide initiative is determined to create a shared vision for Mandurahs future, as well as an action plan to achieve it.
We are encouraging the whole community to play an active role, not only in defining the future vision for Mandurah but in working together to action those priorities, which will deliver the vision, he said.
This is more than just your usual consultation process, the resulting vision will be owned and delivered by the whole community.
But that quest to make people think differently about their city has come at a cost.
The most-expensive component of the campaign was the communications, promotion and advertising, which was priced at $83,300.
The next involved the management and operational costs, with provisional services for consultancy, facilitation of community workshops and summit at the end of the project, which totalled $50,000.
Event-based elements such as a stakeholder breakfast, activations, workshops, a closing summit will cost $16,550.
Lastly, $21,300 was set aside for the tools and equipment to make it all happen.
The Shire of Murray commenced a rebranding project at the start of 2018, however, the change was mainly aimed at the aesthetics of the brandmark.
In 2010, the City of Rockingham undertook a similar campaign to reshaping their image, which was called Where the Coast Comes to Life.
