Carcoola Primary School and its staff have been very busy in the garden this year.
As part of the School Revitalisation Plan, they have started work on installing their new school orchard.
The idea to create the school orchard is to beautify the school grounds and ensure no student will go hungry.
Mr Batten and the Year 2/3 class wrote to the Mayday Op Shop asking for donations and they generously provided the school with $500.
The money was used to buy two large orange trees from Miti Trees in Nambeelup, which were delivered to the school by Shaun Lord.

School gardener Peter Wopereis and Mr Batten helped the students plant the trees, with the project starting to take shape.
School principal Michael Day thanked Mr Wopereis for his hard work at Carcoola Primary this year.
“He has done fantastic work and the school grounds look magnificent,” he said.
