Mandurah’s business community flocked to Make Place for the Peel Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s monthly Business After Hours event on Thursday evening.
The meeting was a great chance for businesses to network and socialise, while listening to industry updates from across the region.
Make Place is a co-working space in the heart of Mandurah, that aims to create a collaborative environment, provide networking opportunities and help the community reach their business goals.
Make Place general manager of projects Skipper van Peer thanked attendees for their interest in the organisation.
“Without our community, we would just be a building. Our community makes us what we are,” she told attendees on the night.
She also gave a brief update on the organisation’s work and thanked partnering bodies that contribute to the business hub.
Peel Chamber general manager Andrew McKerrell said it was a “fantastic” evening and that there were more than 70 people at the function.
He said the evening showcased the great relationship Make Place had with the chamber.
The next Business After Hours event will be held at the Waroona Town Hall on November 27.
The November event will be hosted by a partnership between the Shire of Waroona and the Waroona Business Support Group.
