Mandurah residents have been hit by 70km/h winds, thunder and lightning over a wet and windy weekend.
Bureau of Meteorology statistics show there was a combined 21.2mm of rainfall over Saturday and Sunday, with the bulk of the downpour coming over a couple of hours on Sunday morning.
Wind gusts reached 70km/h on both days, as winter-like conditions persist across Perth’s southern suburbs.
The weather is set to improve this week, with temperatures rising despite rain and cloudy conditions being forecast for Thursday and heading into the weekend.
Mandurah photographer Aaron Woolcott captured some dramatic images as the lighting struck on Saturday night, as can be seen in the gallery above.
