The Peel Junior Soccer Association’s under 11s boys team made history when they became one of the organisation’s first teams to go undefeated on their way to a win at Football West’s 2018 Country Week.
The squad took to the pitch for nine games over the course of last week and showed pure dominance winning eight of them and tying with Leeuwin Naturaliste Junior Soccer Association in the remainder.
The young guns showed their class scoring 34 goals at the tournament while conceding just eight, finishing atop the table and earning their way through to a final against Esperance last Friday.
Peel was emphatic in the decider, winning 3-1 over their toughest opposition.
Their biggest win of the carnival came against Carnarvon on the Wednesday, where the Peel boys put them to the sword for a resounding 10-1 victory.
Other impressive results included a 5-0 win over NJSA on Thursday, and a 5-1 win over Albany on Tuesday.
Peel also fielded teams in the under 13s and under 15s division.
The under 13s had mixed results winning four of their nine games (including a 5-4 finals win over Geraldton), while the 15s finished fourth with a 4-4-1 record from their matches and a 1-1 draw with Geraldton in the final.
The next soccer season for the PJSA gets underway in May 2019, and the association urges all aspiring Socceroos to register with information available at peelsoccer.com.au
