A mother and child have been taken to hospital after a fire ignited at a Coodanup home on Monday afternoon.
Authorities allege the blaze was accidental and started in the kitchen.
A Department of Fire and Emergency Service spokesman said a mother, in her 20s, and child were taken to Peel Health Campus via St John Ambulance as a precaution for smoke inhalation.
Mandurah Fire and Rescue crews received a call out to the structural fire at 1pm, and received reports that the blaze had been extinguished within 10 minutes.

The Steerforth Drive home sustained smoke damage during the incident.
Authorities have estimated the damage bill to be about $3000.
Fire and Rescue crew members were required to remove installation and several kitchen items from the home, to hose them down.
