Mandurah’s iconic Crab Fest is one step closer to securing a back-to-back win at the Perth Airport Western Australian Tourism Awards.
In its 46th year, the awards aim to highlight the quality and diversity of tourism attractions, amenities and experiences that Western Australia has to offer.
Supported by the state government through Tourism Western Australia the award consist of 31 categories this year, up from 25 in the previous year.
Thousands of residents and visitors flock to the Mandurah’s streets every March for the city’s signature event, the Crab Fest.
The two-day festival draws in an average attendance of more than 100,000 local, intrastate, interstate and international visitors each year.
The event includes entertainment across various stages, celebrities, unique dining experiences, waterway activations and Mandurah's famous blue manna crabs.
The popular festival claimed a win in the “best major festival” category at the 2017 awards.
The festival is joined by local operators Mandurah Cruises and Mandurah Boat and Bike Hire at this year’s awards.
Winners will be announced at a gala awards evening, held at Crown Perth on November 10.
