Centrals’ Grant Dunn is hoping to cap off what has been a memorable year with a premiership when his side faces Pinjarra in the Peel Football and Netball League grand final on Saturday.
The star forward, who booted 36 goals on the season, has endured the highs and lows of the past few seasons with the footy club but said bringing a flag back to their Mundijong base would be a “dream come true.”

Dunn joined the club in 2009, shortly after their most recent premiership, and notched his 150th game in a Centrals uniform this season.
He was part of the side that went down to Pinjarra by a goal in the 2014 grand final and he’s hoping to get some revenge this time around.
“That was a hard loss to take – it definitely feels like we owe them one,” he said.
“It’s funny that we’re back here again facing the same team but it’d be nice to even the score.”
For Dunn, a premiership would be the culmination of the close bond the Blues’ playing group has formed over the recent years.
“It’s a real brotherhood,” he said.
“Everyone is close. On Wednesday nights after training you’ll find 50 to 60 per cent of the players having dinner at the tavern together and it’s those things that make playing footy here so enjoyable.
“I think it’s a big reason for our success this year.”
Centrals head into their grand final date with the Tigers feeling fresh after earning a bye week with a semi final win over Pinjarra a fortnight ago.
But Dunn said that would count for little as his side braces for a huge challenge.
“They’ve been the benchmark of the league for a while now so we know it’s not going to be easy at all,” he said.
“We’ve proven over the last 10 weeks that our best can beat anyone so we just need make sure we bring that tough brand of footy we love to play.”
