Pinjarra footy product Kamdyn McIntosh is hoping to move into the prestigious group of AFL players with a pair of premierships to their name as his Richmond Tigers eye back-to-back flags in the coming weeks.
McIntosh played a vital role in Richmond’s win over Hawthorn in the qualifying final a week ago, booting three goals from 12 touches as they booked a home preliminary final at the MCG.
A Pinjarra junior who went through Peel Thunder’s development program, the Tigers picked McIntosh in the second round of the 2012 AFL Draft.
Since then the return has been handsome for Richmond, with the versatile defender overcoming injury woes in the early years of his career to become part of their 2017 premiership outfit, which broke a 37-year drought for the club.
Now, his sights are firmly fixed on helping the Tigers go back-to-back, as they wait through a week off before hosting the winner of Collingwood and Greater Western Sydney’s semi final clash this weekend.
