Mandurah Magic guard Anita Brown had her outstanding season honoured when she was named to the Women’s All-SBL first team at Basketball WA’s awards night last week.
The team pays tribute to the best players at every position for the season, with the all-star getting the nod at the shooting guard spot.
Brown’s season with the Magic was nothing short of superb, as she led the league in points per game and spurred Mandurah to a grand final berth despite the team going through what could be described as a turbulent year.
Coming to Mandurah for her first season with the team from Akron, Ohio, the smooth-mover averaged 24 points per game across her 27 regular and post-season contests.
She also pulled down seven rebounds and dished out 2.5 assists per game, as she put together a campaign that will be remembered for a long time within the walls of the Mandurah Basketball Association.
