A new sustainable housing project is coming to Singleton, with an information evening to take place later this month.
The Harmony Park Housing Co-operative promises to save future home owners and residents between 10 to 15 per cent with their new housing project.
“We are looking for six to 12 households – people who are interested in sustainable community living, at an affordable price,” project facilitator Eugenie Stockmann said.
“We propose to do development differently - the project cuts out the developer profit and reinvests this in long -erm quality and sustainability, and cost savings.
“The development will be co-designed with the future residents – we have assumed three townhouses and eight apartments.
“What ultimately is built depends on the needs and wants of the future residents, particularly those that commit to this unique opportunity early on.”
The project is taking shape at Lot 9524 Dorado Street in Singleton, which is a 1,891sqm block of land.
A free information evening will be held at the Singleton Community Hall from 6.30pm on Tuesday, September 25.
