Local businesses based in the Peel Region will have the opportunity to register their details for the upcoming Peel Business Park land development works.
The Peel Development Commission (PDC) is calling for businesses within the region to join the Peel-based register.
PDC chair Paddi Creevey said the initiative would be a boon to the local community.
“The Transform Peel project, which incorporates the development of the Peel Business Park, will contribute significantly to the economic development of the region and this register is an important step in ensuring our local businesses are given every opportunity to contribute and benefit,” she said.
Businesses will have the opportunity to register their interest until September 30.
Mrs Creevey encouraged all businesses to get involved.
“When we engage our local businesses in projects and support their capability and success, we create momentum, growth and prosperity for the region,” she said.
The Peel-based business register will incorporate Indigenous and local businesses operating across a broad range of areas from civil construction, landscaping and site works through to support services such as caterers, skill and plant hire.
The development of the business register is being supported as part of the Peel Development Commission Local Content program.
The Peel Business Park is part of the PDC’s Transform Peel project – a 35 year program which is projected to culminate in $16.2 billion per annum economic output and up to 33,000 jobs by completion in 2050.
