A publicist for the actors told The Associated Press on Friday that the baby was born on Monday in New York.
This is the second child for the 39-year-old actress and 42-year-old actor. They are already parents to their five-year-old son Cyrus Michael Christopher.
They have been married since 2009.
Homeland star Danes has won three Emmy Awards and four Golden Globes.
British actor Dancy starred in the TV series Hannibal.
