A 16-year-old Pinjarra boy will face court after allegedly threatening a man with a machete and riding an off-road motorcycle recklessly.
Police said the teenager was riding a 70cc off-road motorcycle on Chestnut Street in Pinjarra about 3.40pm on Wednesday, August 22.
A 31-year-old man stopped the boy as he was concerned about the way the teenager was riding the bike, with school children in close proximity.
The man took possession of the motorcycle and phoned police.
Police say the 16-year-old attended a Chestnut Street address with his parents, with the boy becoming angry and threatening the man with a machete.
The boy has been charged with being armed in a way that may cause fear, having no authority to drive and driving a vehicle that does not comply with vehicle standards regulations.
He is due to appear in the Mandurah Children’s Court on Monday, September 10.
