Coondanup Clontarf Academy students recently met with potential employers to get tips and gain insight on entering the workforce.
The annual Clontarf Employment Forum last week, was attended by local business and organisation representatives who spoke with 21 Aboriginal students, from Year 10 to 12.

“This year’s forum focused on job opportunities, traineeships, wellbeing, work placements, financial literacy and interviews,” he said.
Former student Jayeden Quartermaine spoke to students about the jobs he has held since graduating in 2016.
Mr Callaghan said this was followed by guest speaker Kmart Mandurah’s Fran Barrett, who spoke about the positive impact of employing young Aboriginal males.
“Kmart Mandurah has been very valuable in promoting the work environment with the Coodanup Clontarf Academy with four students working at the store on a casual basis,” he said.
Mr Callaghan wanted to thank the Mandurah agencies who participated in the forum including the City of Mandurah, BHP Billiton, Kmart Mandurah, Bunnings Halls Head, Bankwest Mandurah and GP Down South.
