The Waroona Demons’ netball squad made it back-to-back Peel Football and Netball League grand final wins with a gutsy victory over the Pinjarra Tigers at the Mandurah Aquatic and Recreation Centre on Saturday afternoon.
The Demons hoisted their second straight flag – both of which have seen them topple Pinjarra – thanks to a stunning 65-51 victory.
Waroona and Pinjarra shared the league’s top two spots for the majority of the season, but the Demons booked their spot in the grand final early with a win over the Tigers in the first round of the post-season.
Pinjarra earned a shot at redemption by ending Rockingham’s season, but it wasn’t to be as Waroona picked up another flag for their Parnell Street home.
Rockingham enjoyed success in the reserves clash with a 39-51 win seeing them take home some new silverware, while Halls Head capped off their stellar season in the open grade with a 47-39 victory over South Mandurah.
