Police have impounded a vehicle abandoned by a man who led officers on a pursuit through several Mandurah suburbs on Friday morning.
Officers called off the pursuit with a driver of a Holden Statesman just before midday, due to fears over the public's safety.
Shortly after officers attended a home on Myerick Street where they found the accused man.

When officers attempt to capture the man, he allegedly fled over a neighbouring fence.
A Police Media spokeswoman said a male and female passenger of the vehicle were questioned following the incident.
She said the vehicle has been impounded for reckless driving.
It's believed the man is known to police.
