A teenager has been airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital after a serious crash in Dawesville on Thursday morning.
Authorities turned out to the incident along Dawesville Road just after 8.30am.
Three teenagers were found trapped in a white sedan, that had crashed into a tree on the roadside of the residential area.
Fire and Rescue crews from Mandurah and Falcon worked quickly to remove two of the teens from the car.
Crews were forced to use the jaws of life to pry apart the wreckage.
It took crews a significant amount of time to rescue the last occupant, a 14-year-old girl, from the carnage.
The girl was then taken with St John Ambulance to the RAC rescue chopper, which had been sent to collect her.
A Police Media spokesman said injuries to the three teenagers were serious.
A boy in his late teens was taken by ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital with multiple injuries and the other teenage girl was taken to Peel Health Campus with general pain and lacerations.
Mandurah Police blocked off Dawesville Road in both directions around the scene.
Officers directed traffic in the area and nearby residents who had spilled onto the street after they heard the crash.
Residents in the area said the road was often busy, especially in the mornings and afternoons around the school drop-off and pick-up times.
Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
More as it comes to hand.
