Following a thrilling win two-days prior, Eagles Football Club defender Will Schofield visited Halls Head Primary School to present them with a sports award.
Year Five and Six students recently took out the Eagles Cup in an inter-school football competition against St Damian’s Primary School and Ocean Road Primary School.
Sports teacher Adrian Perry said the visit by Mr Schofield was inspiring for young students.
“Will sets a good example of what can be achieved,” he said.

“He spoke to the whole school about the Eagles and students were able to ask him questions.
“They found him funny and engaging. He captured their interest.”
Mr Perry said one student asked if AFL would become a world-wide sport, to which Mr Schofield responded it might, but not before the Women’s Football League was further developed and cemented.
