A 15-year-old Dudley Park boy, charged with setting his stepfather on fire on Saturday, has been granted bail after appearing in Perth Children’s Court.
On Monday, the teenager faced one charge of grievous bodily harm and was bailed on condition that he not attempt to contact his 34-year-old stepfather.
He is due to reappear in Perth Children’s Court on August 20.

It will be alleged the teenager attempted set the man on fire by lighting a flammable liquid.
The court was told the incident occurred about 6.40pm after an argument between the stepfather and the teenager’s biological father.
A Fiona Stanley Hospital spokeswoman said the stepfather was discharged on Monday.
The teenager’s 37-year-old biological father was charged with wilfully destroying evidence after allegedly deleting footage of the incident.
He is due to appear in the Mandurah Magistrates Court at a later date.
