Mandurah Police have taken a woman into custody after she crashed during an alleged attempt to dodge a random stop by officers along Peel Street on Thursday morning.
About 10.45pm, police saw the woman, in her 20s, travelling east along Peel Street near the Sutton Street intersection.
When police turned on their lights and sirens, the woman allegedly increased speed in her light blue Toyota Seca.
Police followed the woman and only to find her crashed into the fence of a home on the corner of Peel Street and Chepstow Drive.
Wet road conditions are believed to be a contributing factor to the crash.
The woman escaped the crash uninjured however the front of her car sustained serious damage.
With more wet wet weather tipped for the city across the day, motorists are reminded to be cautious on the roads.
