The wild weather certainly set in for Mandurah on the weekend, with some of the windiest days on record for July.
According to the Bureau of Meteorology, Saturday morning saw the worst of the winds, with north-north-westerly winds reaching 43 km/hr – the highest on record for this month.
While it quietened down later that day – getting down to a wind speed of 26 km/hr – the wild weather was not over yet.
Sunday morning saw westerly winds reach speeds of 41km/hr from about 9am, before decreasing to 37 km/hr after 3pm.
Rainfall however was only minimal, with Sunday clocking 4 millimetres.
That figure is expected to increase throughout the week though, with showers predicted for Monday and Tuesday, and a storm set to come in on Wednesday.
Thursday is predicted to be a cloudy day, but the rains are expected to set in again on Friday and into the weekend.
