The lights on the Mandurah Bridge have proved a hit since they were first turned on earlier this year.
They add a fun dimension to Mandurah with the bridge being lit every night in different colours – in fact, there are more than 6.7 million possible colours.
Now the City of Mandurah is making it possible for different charitable organisations to book the lights to help promote the organisation’s special event or appeal.
In most cases this will be free – but if the City has to create a special program they would pass on the costs.
“I think this is a great use of the community’s bridge, I love the idea that the City can help you put your charity up in lights,” Mandurah Mayor, Rhys Williams said.
“This is another example of the City working to connect community.”
There are a few rules, for example bookings will not be accepted for commercial advertising purposes.
