Ms Bradbrook-Mann said the program improved attendance.
“On Monday morning, they were at the office, ready to go,” she said. “They loved it, and getting them offsite is a huge difference.”
Ms Bradbrook-Mann said the students learnt to work together as a team.
“Sports are good for young people’s physical and mental health,” she said.
“The boys learnt to accept decisions, understand that people have different abilities, build resilience and self-discipline.”
“Coodanup College is immensely grateful to Mandurah Magic for their cooperation and to the players themselves for sharing their knowledge and passion for the game.”
Junior school deputy and basketball coach Mark Utley, said he had noticed a change in the students’ skills and fitness levels, since they had started the program.
