Nine dogs found their ‘forever homes’ at a local rescue adoption day on Saturday.
More than a dozen dogs were paraded at Nambeelup dog rescue, K9’s adoption day, and more than $4500 was raised for the organisation.
About 20 volunteers paraded the dogs to potential owners and helped the day run smoothly.

Volunteer Mason Youlden said he had been helping the dog rescue since 2016.
“I do animal care studies, and I wanted to volunteer,” he said.
“I want to see the pups go to good homes, and this is the best place around here that does this.
“It’s fantastic. Mostly every single dog, bar two or three since I have come here, have gone to loving homes.”
President Carol Carter said the events were important to promote older dogs to potential owners.
“It makes room for another one to come in from the pound,” she said.
“It’s also not good to have dogs for a long time as they get institutionalized.”
