Mandurah appears poised for plenty of wet weather this week, which could see the city reach its average rainfall for the month of June.
The Bureau of Meteorology’s forecast predicts showers from Monday through to Saturday, with high chances of rain across the six-day spell.
The rainy streak could bump Mandurah up to where it needs to be hit the average, with the city currently slated to finish well below the mean rainfall for the month of June.
On average the first month of winter drops 188.5mm of rain on the city, and despite wild weather conditions walloping several suburbs in the month’s second week, Mandurah is still on track to reach just 132mm of rain.
But that course could be altered by this week’s predictions.
Intermittent rain is expected through both Monday and Tuesday, but the chance of wet weather jumps from 70 per cent to a high 90 and 95 from Wednesday through Friday.
Showers are expected to ease on Sunday, with only a 10 per cent chance of rain.
The city has already well and truly surpassed last year’s total rainfall for the month of June, which marked a historically low 55.6mm.
