The former mistress of late billionaire Richard Pratt went "berserk" when she bit and attacked police in Sydney, a court has heard.
Shari-Lea Hitchcock allegedly assaulted a stranger who tried to help her across Oxford Street before biting a young female constable in March 2016.
Ms Hitchcock was a danger to herself and others because of her severe intoxication, police prosecutor Craig Pullen told Downing Centre Local Court on Monday.
The court has previously heard the 48-year-old left a boozy lunch in Woollahra and was stumbling on the road in her high-heel boots when the incident occurred.
She was spotted hanging onto a rail on Oxford Street by bystander Jan Haswell, a good Samaritan driving home from church, Senior Sergeant Pullen told the court.
Ms Haswell allegedly tried to guide Hitchcock off the road and stopped her from leaving in a taxi or flagging down a random passing car with "four young yahoos".
But Hitchcock tried to kick Ms Haswell in the head as she crouched down to collect the socialite's fallen glasses, Sen Sgt Pullen said.
When police arrived one male officer said the swaying Hitchcock had slurred speech as she called his female partner a "little f***ing bitch" before they handcuffed her, Sen Sgt Pullen said.
Hitchcock became aggressive and was "going really berserk with higher kicks", hitting the female constable twice in the chest before biting her on the left leg around the knee, the court heard.
"The actions were reckless and her intoxication does not excuse her behaviour," Sen Sgt Pullen said.
Hitchcock has pleaded not guilty to common assault, assaulting police and resisting arrest.
Defence barrister Daniel McMahon argued the two officers' evidence was inconsistent with that of other police who said Hitchcock had originally been perfectly pleasant and co-operative before things "got physical".
The male officer had used excessive force in an "overly assertive parental approach", and Ms Haswell was an unreliable witness with at times bizarre and exaggerated testimony, Mr McMahon added.
Hitchcock's other lawyer, Greg James, previously submitted a doctor's report stating she was suffering from a hypoglycemic episode and argued her "increasingly irrational" reaction to police was due to a belief she was being unlawfully detained.
Hitchcock's application to have the matter heard under a mental health disorder clause was refused in April 2017.
Magistrate Jennifer Atkinson on Monday reserved her decision for July 11.
Hitchcock had an 18-year affair and a daughter with cardboard king Pratt who died in 2009. She reached a settlement with Pratt's estate in 2015.
