Peel Multicultural Association are gearing up to host Philippines Independence Day celebrations as part of a new fundraising push.
On June 15, member of the community are invited to attend the celebration at the Greenfields Family and Community Centre.
The event will showcase the history how Philippines become independent from the colony of different countries specially from the Spaniards.
Peel Multicultural Association president Virginia Pitts said the group aimed to host other cultural themed events throughout the year to raise funds for struggling new migrants to the Peel region, who need emergency support.
The night will include entertaining performances and a Filopino show set to excite.
Cost of the event is $25 for adults, $18 for 12-16 year olds or $50 for two adults and children aged below 10.
