Waroona Police have charged a Perth duo with a string of drug and weapon-related charges after searching their car in Lake Clifton.
About 1.30pm on June 11, police officers found the 37-year-old woman and 33-year-old man in a rest area along Forrest Highway.
Officers pulled over and spoke to the pair before deciding to search their car.
Police will allege a quantity of cannabis and methamphetamine was found in the car, along with various drug paraphernalia items with traces of illicit substances on them.
Four knives, several cans of pepper spray and a toy gun were also allegedly found in the car.
The woman was charged with five offences and the man was charged with six, the most serious of which was possession of weapons.
Waroona Police Station officer in charge Simon Bennett was one of the officers who found the pair on Monday.
He said it was very concerning that people would have several weapons within arms reach of the driver's seat.
Despite the number of weapons, Senior Sergeant Bennett said the pair were calm and compliant when approached by officers.
The duo will appear in the Harvey Magistrates Court on July 16.
