Ryan Henley reeled off 10 goals as Centrals put on a show of sheer dominance in a monumental win over the Waroona Demons at Mundijong Oval on Sunday afternoon.
The gun forward’s double-digit bag teamed with seven to Callum Collard provided plenty of highlights as their side gave Waroona a case of the blues with a 32.7 (199) to 4.7 (31) victory.
Goals weren’t hard to come by early with the two sides nailing 12 between them in the first quarter.
Unfortunately for the Demons nine of those belonged to Centrals, as a deadly accurate Blues outfit broke away in the opening period.
Henley was on the board in the first while Lee Murray, Daniel Wilson and Collard all capitalised alongside him.
Three of Waroona’s four goals came in that first term with Ben Wright enjoying some success in his return from an injury, but it didn’t stop Centrals from breaking the game wide open.
The Blues’ slowest quarter came in the second, but even then they managed to find five goals and race away to a 57-point lead at the long break.
They already boasted a score of 85 at half time before turning the jets on again in the final two quarters, where they nailed nine goals in each period to romp to a 168-point win.
Henley’s day ended with a complete 10-goal haul, with Collard’s seven backing up five from the week before.
Daniel Wilson (four), Jacob Martinez (three), Grant Dunn (three), Lee Murray (two) and Bryce Shersby (two) joined them as multiple goal scorers while Paul Mugambwa booted one.
Wright finished with a pair of Waroona’s four, with Andrew Leroy and Zac Moody making up the remainders.
The win moves Centrals to a 5-5 record and sees them occupying fourth spot on the ladder.
They will look to keep that form alive when they take to the field against Pinjarra next week, while Waroona face a tough task in stopping the in-form South Mandurah Falcons.
