Volleyball teams from across the state took to the Mandurah Aqautic and Recreation Centre on the weekend for a two-day competition.
Thirty-five teams – split into four divisions – took to the indoor volleyball courts for the Mandurah Volleyball Association’s Invitational.
Association president Charlie Grigio said the event was hailed a success.
“It was sort of volleyball outside of volleyball,” he said.
“Teams were able to verse teams that they wouldn't usually verse in their normal competitions.
“I think that's what sets it a part.
“That and also the inclusivity and diversity of the event; it was open across all clubs.
“And that's something we promote across our own organisation.”
