Mandurah motorists were hit with hefty fuel prices on Tuesday morning, with the average cost of unleaded petrol increasing by a whopping 20 cents per litre.
The priciest fuel in Mandurah and its surrounding suburbs was recorded at The Canal Shop, an independently owned store in South Yunderup.
Motorists who topped up at that browser were forced to pay 164.9 cents per litre.
Vibe Mandurah, on the corner of Rafferty Road and Reserve Drive, boasted the cheapest fuel at 155.7 cents per litre.
From April to May 2018, the average price of petrol has jumped 7.1 cents per litre in the Peel region.
Consumer Protection has tipped more than 20 metro sites to be selling petrol below 140 cents per litre on Wednesday.
