Mandurah and its surrounding suburbs are looking rather ragged this Saturday morning after last night’s harsh winds and rain battered the city.
Huge gusts of wind felled branches and uprooted entire trees, while the overnight rain left minor flooding on some streets.
Garden sheds copped the brunt of the deep low pressure system, while some houses sustained cracked roof tiles.
A total 9.4mm of rain fell on the city over the past 24 hours, according to the Bureau of Meteorology website.
Their forecast predicts further showers across the weekend, with 35-50 kilometre winds persisting through to Monday.
The Mandurah State Emergency Services (SES) unit has advised residents to tie down any loose items outside the house, to minimise potential damage.
