Local police officers were forced to divert traffic in central Mandurah on Friday, after a car crashed into a tree at the Allnutt and Banksia Street intersection.
The blue Ford Falcon XR6 was partly damaged in the incident that occurred about 1.40pm.
City of Mandurah road workers were at the scene cutting and removing parts of the damaged tree with a front end loader and truck.
A spokeswoman from St John Ambulance said officers werent required to attend the scene.
The incident comes after a young woman crashed into a power pole at the Mandjoogoordap Drive and Lymon Road intersection.
Motorists have been warned to be cautious on the roads following the recent downpour.
