Authorities are investigating a collision involving a car and passenger train in Waroona on Friday morning.
Two people sustained minor injuries when their Daewoo Lacetti and the Transwa Australind train collided near the intersection of Coronation Road and McNeill Road about 11am.
Passengers saw a man and a woman pull themselves out of the car.
The pair were seen walking around, dazed after the crash and were quickly treated by St John Ambulance officers.
Passengers on the train bound for Bunbury were stuck on the tracks for about an hour while emergency services assessed the scene.
The man was taken to Peel Health Campus for further treatment.
The RAC helicopter was called to the incident, but wasn’t required.
Perth woman Helen Molewijk was using the service to visit relatives in Bunbury. She was sitting at the front of the train when the collision occurred.
Ms Molewijk and fellow passenger June Craig said there was no indication of the crash.
Ms Craig said train officers had communicated well with passengers throughout the experience and had even offered tea or coffee while they waited on the tracks.
Retired train worker Pete MacFarlane, who was visiting from Branxton in New South Wales’ Hunter Valley, was towards the back of the train when the incident occurred.
Mr MacFarlene said he didn’t feel a thing and hoped that the train driver didn’t get too much of a shock from the incident.
A Transwa bus was provided to take the passengers to Bunbury.
