A Lotterywest grant of more than half a million dollars was presented in Mandurah on Friday, to assist the recent merger of Community First International, Volunteer Task Force and Care Options into Chorus Australia.
The funding injection will enable the introduction of a new service model for a range of services to more than 10,000 people in need across the metropolitan, Peel and South-West regions.
The amalgamation of the three community organisations will bring together almost 1,000 employees and volunteers in support of the aged care, disability and mental health sectors.

Moving all operations under the Chorus Australia umbrella, is part of a strategy to improve their ability to serve some of the community's most vulnerable.
Mandurah MP David Templeman and Seniors and Ageing minister Mick Murray presented Chorus Australia with a $506,000 Lotterywest grant during a visit to the city last week.
Mr Murray said the organisations would be fully integrated under the Chorus Australia umbrella by June 2018.
"Organisations like Chorus Australia do such important work out in our communities, making sure those in need are able to live the best lives possible,” Mr Murray said.
"By amalgamating under the Chorus Australia umbrella, service delivery will be improved for the 10,000 people in the aged care, disabilities and mental health spaces who rely on these important services.
"On behalf of the State Government, I thank Lotterywest retailers and those who play Lotterywest games who help us support initiatives like these."
Mr Templeman added thanks to the past and current service workers.
"Our volunteers and community workers in Mandurah do such great work and I welcome this important announcement. I look forward to working closely with Chorus Australia,” Mr Templeman said.
