Singer Morgan Bain says he will be playing his last gig for sometime in Western Australia, and has chosen a “special” venue in the Peel Region to bid his farewell.
The 23-year-old, who was recently signed to Sony Records, will play at Redcliffe on the Murray, before moving to Melbourne next month.
The Perth boy said the Pinjarra venue was special to him and one of the first places he played as a teenager, breaking into the music scene.
He said restaurant owner Nicole Young had “become family” since his first gig at the scenic venue when he was 16-years-old.
“Nicole has become one of my best friends,” he said.
Bain said she was called ‘Mumma Nicky’ among the music scene.

“She really looks after artists and makes them feel welcome,” he said. “I love to play at the venue, it’s such a beautiful and special place.”
Ms Young said she was proud of Bain and had watched him grow from a boy to a man.
“He’s always been so professional...to see him grow has been amazing,” she said. “I’m sure we’ll be hearing bigger and better things from him.”
She said Bain had a number of fans in the region. “His fans have seen him as a young kid through till now,” she said.
Bain said his music had transitioned from blues to pop rock over the years.
On Sunday he will be playing a raw, solo set, trying out new unreleased songs that will feature on his next record.
The gig will be held on April 22 from 4-7.30pm.
He will be supported by Christopher John Kinna.
